Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate

Bethlehem College is a special place.

Visitors to the College frequently comment on the distinctive atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Of course, some of this results from the natural beauty of the grounds, with their well established Oaks and Kauris, green fields and glimpses of the Wairoa River in the valley below.

We hope that as you walk through the campus that you will sense something of the environment that is distinct from the natural surroundings, ultimately as a place set apart for God.

BC Chapel

Bethlehem College students are afforded with impressive facilities. The Performing Arts Centre includes a 600 seat theatre, hall, specialist drama and music rooms, foyer and full commercial kitchen. The Events Centre provides an excellent venue for indoor physical education and sports, as well as a facility to hold assemblies and major events. Specialist classrooms include technology, science, visual arts, agricultural and horticultural, learning support, career pathways and more.

Outdoors, students are provided with adventure playgrounds, a Primary swimming pool, tiger turf tennis and netball courts, cricket nets, football pitches, cricket ovals, artificial hockey turf, rugby field and club rooms. The nearby Wairoa River is an ideal training ground for rowing and other water based sports.

As you enter the grounds on Elder Lane, there is ample parking to the left. Walk along the path beside the sports field, cross the road and you're greeted by the picturesque Chapel, which dates back to 1887. Meander down the pathway, affectionately known as 'The Way', and to the left there's a much loved playground as you enter into the Primary School, which occupies the A to E blocks. Past Primary is the Centrum, a circular mini amphitheatre used by both Primary and Secondary as a gathering place. Continue on the path to Secondary with its own quadrangles, surrounded by double storey blocks R, T, S & Q.

'Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God' (Romans 12:2).
