Sports Report 20 June 2018

We had several students attend the NZSS Cross Country Champs in Taupo last weekend.  It was great the rain held off and we left with some fantastic results.  Congratulations to Samuel Tanner for coming first in the Senior Boys race, followed by his brother Logan Tanner coming in 59th and Nicholas Wotton at 131st.  Emily Spear came 98th in the Junior Girls race and Ian Pugh came 25th in the Year 9 Boys race.  In the Year 9 Girls race we had Summar Tanner come in at 15th and Eleanor Nash 64th.  Well done to all!

Our 1st XI Boys Hockey team won 2-1 v Te Puke and the 1st XI Girls Hockey team won 10-0 v Papamoa.  Great going!

Netball Prem 1 took a 22 goal win against John Paul College to book themselves a spot in the top WBOP Netball competition for schools.

Isaac Williams did extremely well in his swimming races in Taupo the weekend before last.  Isaac competed in 9 races over 2 days and placed in every one coming away with 7 gold medals and 2 silver medals.  His effort for the 200m Butterfly was 1 second off the BOP record and 5 seconds off the national record.  Outstanding effort Isaac!
