PA to Head of School Secondary/Admin Support to Secondary Leadership Team – part-time, fixed term (1 year)

A fixed term, part time position has become available at our Bethlehem, Tauranga campus, for a positive, enthusiastic and competent team player to join our admin team for the 2022 school year.   The role is for 35-37 hours per week, 8.00am – 4.00pm/4.30pm during term time, with three days required prior to the start of the academic year.  On occasion, to support special events, some after-hours work may be required.

The position is to provide support to our Head of School Secondary, and the Secondary Leadership team.  The role will offer variety and exposure to a wide range of activities. We are looking for an experienced administrator who is willing to ‘own this role’ and think proactively to deliver an exceptional service in support of the Secondary Leadership Team. Please see the position description for details of the tasks associated with this role.

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills, a desire to provide a high level of administrative support, good IT skills and an affinity for secondary school students.

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, grade B.

Requirements: 

  • Commitment to the Christian Character of the College is essential
  • A professional and friendly manner, calm under pressure, ability to work in a confidential environment
  • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to serve and learn
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to record meeting minutes
  • Proactive, with strong organisational and time management skills, effective and efficient
  • Initiative/creativity and adaptability in task completion
  • The ability to multi-task and work well within an open plan busy environment
  • Competence in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Google docs
  • Previous experience with KAMAR student management system would be an advantage
  • Flexibility to work the occasional after hours or weekend to support school events
  • Full driver’s licence
